Just when you thought you had it all covered…

Just when you thought you had it all covered with WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, Magento and some else – well, think again.

In recent days I’ve found out a larger view and a bigger picture on these CMS, or WCM, applications. This is all thanks to this new acquaintance, G2Crowd. >>>

So first of all, here’s a link to this article ‘Best Web Content Management Software’, which is very insightful and I very much recommend, if these things matter to you: www.g2crowd.com/categories/web-content-management

Here’s an excerpt from there:

Web content management (WCM) systems allow users to create, edit, and publish digital content such as text, embedded audio and video files, and interactive graphics for websites. These systems make the process of uploading and writing content simple for users who do not have coding skills by offering theme-oriented templates for unique design. WCM systems are generally used in collaborative scenarios where multiple team members can monitor and manage web content. WCM solutions are most frequently utilized by digital marketing and creative teams. WCM systems can be plugged into third-party hosting platforms that provide more complete website management functionality. Some WCM systems can integrate with marketing software, third-party CMS tools, or content analytics programs. Others may provide functionality for digital asset management and web design. They share features with enterprise content management and e-commerceplatforms.

Just one comment here to this graph and analysis: this HubSpot, which ranks so hight, must be something, with their out-of-the-roof pricing. Or what do you think?

Professional package 740e/month, Enterprice package 2200e/month. And this is just their Marketing Hub; then there are 4 more Hubs to pay for. Oh well.
And somebody’s really paying these sums and really valuing? Oh boy. I am in the wrong business at the moment. Here’s a link: www.hubspot.com/pricing/marketing

And secondly, this G2Crowd itself… Well I surely have to admit my total ignorance: I had never heard of this company or project before.

Well, modestly put:

G2 Crowd builds the world’s largest business commerce platform fueled by $100M in funding.

Have a look at it yourself www.g2crowd.com
