I have been using this Paper.li for some time now.

I get my regular newsletters of selected and/or automated/curated articles, which sometimes are interesting, sometimes are not.

Now this time, the article is a treasure. It’s a great compilation of tools and services.

Finally I got this done!

I had been planning to re-name my ocean.koo1web.com site to something else, but I hadn’t idea what the other name would be. Maybe ‘Shop’, or ‘Store’..maybe…but I guess maybe not for this site…And then I got it: Assets.koo1web.com . That would be most descriptive of the content, and most justified as a name.

Well…I guess, then I was just a little too arrogant…

What Is a Business Model? +15 Top Types to Use (With Examples) in 2019

https://business.tutsplus.com/articles/what-is-a-business-model–cms-32830

I recently started an affiliate program with this great Envato. There is a lot to offer. See below for more or check this page.

This blog post contains affiliate links.

With A2 Hosting I have their ‘Swift’ plan and I’m quite happy with it.

You can run your own tests with Swift just by using my site(s) – you’ll see how swift it really is. Of course, I’ve done my optimization lessons and so, on most of the pages.

But anyhow I think you’ll notice, that this really is quite a good speed. And talking about speed – they even have their Turbo option, claiming to be even 20x faster… Well for me, I don’t know about it yet, but sure I’m interested.

That much happy client I am, that I’ve decided to join their Affiliate program. I have a small affiliate site in progress, so more info will be there.

But for now more info at A2 website.

Alla on hypyn jlk  lisää jotain diipadaapaa viime vuoden puolelta.>>

Now this looks great! Go ahead and grab this one freebie from Envato for yourself too (you may need to sign up first). Once again I feel, though, that these kinds of automated transformers are best applied to a rather simple subject. The more complex the original photo is, the messier the sketched outcome will be. So it’ll be up to your expertise to know how to utilize these sorts of tools.

Some of the links on this site are affiliate links. This means that, at no additional cost to you, I may eventually earn a commission, if you click through and make a purchase.

“Monitor, analyze and optimize the key elements of your website efficiently with one tool.”

Well this one is definitely a comprehensive and a massive tool. Oh my! If you thought you made a fine website, try Ryte and think again. There’s a free account also. And there’s a lot of other tools in this area too, like SEMRush.

So now it is decided. After 10 years or so being with Louhi, I’ve finally decided to change my web host.

The new one with koo1.fi soon will be, and already is with my other domain koo1web.com ;- A2 Hosting (aff link). My server is located in Amsterdam.

With my two weeks of quite extensive testings, and numerous chats and emails with personnel, and this and that, I’m convinced. This is a good move.

Right now, many of my sites have already moved to their new home. This one wall.koo1web.com of course is, this design.koo1web.com  also is, and this ocean.koo1web.com is too, although in the midst of a big transformation. My magazine styled site, mag.koo1web.com also is, although I just haven’t had time to change it the way I want to. Be my guest to have a look at all of those.

My former, local Louhi-based equivalent is koo1.fi and the subs, and my deal with Louhi will end 2019-06-30.

There’ll be more info and comparisons later on. But there’s something more below already.

In everyday web design routines, Premium Addons for Elementor is just awesome. I’ve got a habit of installing it to every one of  my sites.

Premium Addons is handy in a way, that it’s modular, You can enable elements that you are using and disable the rest for faster performance.  Check the site and grab your copy – Pro version starting just from 39e.

Here you may find some additional or new resources to aid your WordPress schemes.

Check out for example this, https://www.termsfeed.com. With their quite handy looking online generators they promise to provide

Trusted legal agreements.

For web, mobile iOS & Android, desktop apps. For ecommerce, SaaS, apps, Facebook apps and more. It may cost you something, if you are doing business, but may be worth the cost, which is quite reasonable for a legal document in question,

When I saw Premium Addons’ demo page of their Parallax section addon [aff link] I was like – damn! Damn it’s good, just awesome.

And it wasn’t just the Parallax effect, but the colors, the fonts, the sheer fluidity of the page in general, In a design sort of way it was fantastic little page, just great for any sort of landings.

Later or I made a sort of a copy of that page, or of the early parts.  In my way. Learning by imitating.

WOOF – WooCommerce Products Filter 2.2.2.1

Here definitely is enough filtering options and possibilities for your needs. (The right sidebar continues for some length.)

Aika hyvät lukemat PageSpeedissä tässä yömyöhäsellä. Testailin näitä AMP-, ShortPixel CDN ja WebP-juttuja tuohon [edelliseen] Mag.koo1.fi :een.  (Katso postauksen pohjalta pieni päivitys asiassa.***) Ao. sivustolla käytössä myös muut optimointini ja cachet erilaisilla plugien ilmaisversioilla. Aika hyvin siihenkin nähden.

Just tilting things for no real reason.

Kuvan valkoinen pakettiauto on Flöriltä. Nykysuunnitelmilla meinaan hakea tohon uuteen Hipposrakennukseen asumaan, jahka valmistuupi ensi vuonna.

I recently installed this Yoast SEO plugin on my koo1.fi site. This post is not about the usability, but about a detail.

Now, as I am concerned with these cookie issues, I noticed, that this Yoast SEO places a DoubleClick cookie.

And I can see that, because I emptied all my Opera browser cookies & stuff, and only visited my own koo1.fi afterwards. (See screen capture at the end.)

And I noticed as I googled, that there’s a talk about this in WordPress.org Yoast plugin page, where the support first plays ignorant and then calls this just a bug – and then terminates the open discussion. (Or actually the support furthers the talk from WordPress.org to GitHub, which requires signing up and further research, which, all in all, is effectively a talk termination.)

Here’s a link to that talk: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/doubleclick-cookie-2/

Well, well, well. That talk took place over 6 months ago, and the DoubleClick cookie setting is still quite evident, so I guess, that’s not a bug, but quite deliberate action.

One thing for sure, is that this leaves one skeptical and doubtful.

Right now I’m not going to dive any deeper into this matter, although there might be interesting talks and views elsewhere. Instead right now, as I’ve decided to keep the koo1.fi as cookie-free as possible, I’ll remove this Yoast right away.

And generally, I think, I’ll search for an alternative to Yoast SEO. (Although it boasts with over 5M downloads.)

EDIT  a little bit later: I deleted Yoast SEO, and like I expected, also the DC cookie was gone.

Then, as a scientific person as I am (!),I re-installed Yoast, ran the Wizard and some basic stuff, and to my surprise, the DC cookie did not show up. What? When and how does it come from?  Or am I totally mistaken in the first place?

I’ll have to investigate this some more, I think, and come back later on this subject.

Here’s my Opera screencap.

[Edit 2019-07-01] This Koo1 site has moved (like all my sites) and at the same time also changed a little. Koo1,fi address still works, but more direct would be design.koo1web.com .  It’s now hosted by A2 Hosting  [aff link] with greatly enhanced resources and a lot of new possibilities. >>

Check out these recent pages, these Envato studies here on this site.

There’s a lot of skill and experience in Envato Template Kits designer team, making these designs awesome and technically clever. I’ve added some of my own comments, some corrections, features or whatever to each and every one of them. It has been really stimulating to study these Envato templates and designs.

This data is according to a tremendous site BuiltWith.com.

Very interestingly, according to this, the eCommerce market is so-o scattered here in Finland. And so evenly scattered. Also: the market shares are quite surprising. I still have to analyze these figures, and check this and that, so I’m not saying much here right now.

But one detail I have to mention: the 2019-04-17 data shows, that in Finland there are 9 490 web shops, while at the same time in Sweden there are 3x more, total of 28 188 shops. Well that is something! Wow! In comparison, there are 20 358 shops in Denmark, and in Norway 11 886 shops.

Related to this topic, there’s a comparison of eCommerce solutions in CodeinWP.com

“BuiltWith is a website profiler, lead generation, competitive analysis and business intelligence tool providing technology adoption, ecommerce data and usage analytics for the internet.” – This is definitely worth checking out! >> BuiltWith.com

Ready To Protect Your Website From Hackers With The Most USER-FRIENDLY WordPress Security Plugin?

[Edit 2019-06-30] Muutettu tämän linkki vastaamaan nykyistä tilannetta. Siis koo1web/front on suora osoite nykyään.

[Edit 2019-03-07] Huvikseni päivitin tämän minimalistisen sivuni entisestään minimalistisemmaksi, mutta samalla kutakuinkin herkullisemmaksi. Edelleen olemassa tämä koo1.fi/front , vaikka koo1.fi :ssä nyt onkin koko lailla muuta sisältöä. Tsekkaa molemmat! Näissä totaalisen erit lähestymistavat nettisivus[toon – vai onko?

Alla lisää aiemmista vaiheista. >>

Johdatusta listaukseen: pääasiassa nettireferenssejä, asiakaslistauksia, historioita, CMS:ää

PowerMac G4 pitkään nettipalvelimenani. Tämä kuva netistä kaapattuna – tosin on mulla vieläkin tämä nimenomainen laitteistokokoonpano kaapissani.

[2018-08-05] Sain ylipäätänsä vihiä internetistä about 1994 ja kovin olin myyty heti kättelyssä.

Siinä minä olin Macciserverllläni koko maailman saavutettavissa, valmiina julkistamaan itse milloin vain mitä vain “and the world was my oyster”.

This nice free widget comes from Premium Add-ons for Elementor. The scroll effect is triggered by hover or mouse scroll. I think mouse scroll is better and more useful here. Works both vertically and horizontally.

There’s a lot to see and learn in here.

This plugin, based on first impressions, is very very interesting… I have high hopes…let’s see…

https://aamplugin.com

EDIT March 2019: I just couldn’t get this plugin to work like I would’ve wanted to, and I was left with a disappointment.

Yes, I only had a free version to try, and I only spend a few hours (!) with this one, but still I tried this on a couple of sites.
Maybe I had wrong hopes, but anyhow, I couldn’t get permissions to work on a multi-level.
For example giving reading rights of a page to a person or a group didn’t function at all.
I ended up all the time in a situation, where no matter what your role was, you weren’t allowed to read a page assigned to you, unless you signed-in as an Administrator.

I don’t know, if some other plugins interfered with this, most notably WordFence, although if I think I tried even with most of other plugins deactivated. And I don’t know what role web browsers have in this.

But all in all this effort was totally frustrating and futile. There must be a better way than this.

Go ahead, you try – and tell me I was wrong. I’d be happy to hear.
